Sup ya'll. First off, below all this bilge water you all know as the weekly gallery crawl is a post introducing the Friday Night Army. They are a group of crawlers I coordinate each week who go out, look, and write about what they see. You should check them out. The makeup of the Army changes each week, so you'll always get a lot of different takes. They are living at The Gallery Crawl and So Much More... temporarily, so enjoy 'em while they're here.

Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival - 2710 North Sawyer. The Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival spans 9 blocks from 2300 North Milwaukee at California Avenue to 3100 North Milwaukee at Ridgeway Avenue. The festivities are centered at the historic Logan Square Centennial Monument, at 2660 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. Noon to 11pm.
Per Second Project Gallery - 2827 N Milwaukee Ave. Collaboration from Cole Pierce and Dustin Camilleri, Echo Amphitheater by Roxane Hopper. Opening reception 6-10pm.
The Whistler - 2421 N Milwaukee Ave. Plural's site-specific interactive installation is a visual metaphor of The Whistler, consisting of two parts: 1. a catalog / inventory of all the objects in the bar to be displayed in the front window 2. an interactive light installation that will output different colors based on the average volume of the sound in the bar. Over the course of the night, the color will fluxuate, allowing passerby's to see how active the bar is. Opening: All Night
