Opening 7/10, 7/11 & 7/12

Sup ya'll. Man, Chicago sure likes to run on a feast or famine schedule, even during gallery "summer vacation." If you've never heard of the gallery "summer vacation," it was described to me by a New York gallerist art Art Chicago as 'the time everyone when everyone who buys art is gone to the Hamptons.' Well I was worried, but this week, my pretties, is at FEAST. There is literally too much good stuff for me to give it all shout-outs right here. If this could be every Friday, I'd be happy. List toppers: Catherine Edelman (go see your Chi-town photographers, including our own Shannon Benine, for those of you at the 'Tute), Dog vs. Cat extravaganza at Swimming Pool (with drunk artists and dog fashion, how could you go wrong), weird-ass tiny embroderies at the Compound in Pilsen, West Loop awesomeness with Packer Schopf, Spoke, 'n ThreeWalls...and that's only Friday. Saturday and Sunday have even more. Go fourth, schmooze, drink, rub shoulder, rub noses, go see some damn art!
